I had a great stay in a Queen Studio Non-Smoking, where the full-size refrigerator was super convenient for keeping snacks during my weekend getaway, and the close proximity to both Carlsbad State Beach, which is just almost 2 km away, and the Carlsbad Village Art & Antique Mall about 500 meters from the hotel made my walking explorations really enjoyable.

The queen studio was spacious and well-equipped for our family. The staff was welcoming and assisted us promptly with any requests.

The location was excellent, but parking could be a bit challenging during busy hours.

Awful stay, dirty rooms

The place was pretty gross. Floors were dirty, toilet had stains, and I even had to smash a cockroach. The guy at the front desk was nice but couldn’t fix anything since the manager wasn’t around. It was really tough dealing with all this after a fun day at LEGOLAND. Should’ve had better picnic tables too!

Ample room with a small kitchen made for a comfortable stay, close to beach access and local dining options. However, the service was lacking, with a slow response to maintenance issues, and the pool area had some uninvited guests, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite some redeeming qualities like the good coffee, overall, the experience felt subpar.

Family with children in need of a better option

The room was big enough to fit a refrigerator and a microwave plus it was pet friendly, we took our dog along and he loved the place, it was like having a little apartment away from home. The location was prime since we were just a few blocks from the beach and all the restaurants, made it easy for us to grab food after a long day.

Wasn't exactly inexpensive but had its merits.

Nice room, great amenities, the outdoor swimming pool provided a relaxing atmosphere and the kitchenette was perfect for making breakfast during our stay.

We enjoyed water skiing and checked out the Oceanside Pier, which was a great way to spend the day. The location is perfect, close to restaurants and just a short walk to the beach. The kitchen amenities were helpful for making breakfast and snacks. Just a heads up, the breakfast area is small with limited seating, so plan accordingly!

One downside was when I asked for a coffee machine for my room. They said they would bring it, but it never showed up. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was a bit disappointing not to have that morning coffee.

we had a nice stay at extended stay. it was close to legoland, making it easy to visit. the staff were really courteous, which made our time there more enjoyable. we appreciated the great parking too, and the full-size refrigerator in our room was a nice touch to help prepare for our adventures. definitely a convenient spot!

Great Location but Lacking Cleanliness

The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by various attractions. However, my stay was marred by cleanliness issues. the shower had grime and there were several maintenance problems that needed addressing. While the staff was friendly, their response to these issues left much to be desired.

We had a fantastic stay at Extended Stay America Suites, San Diego, Carlsbad Village By The Sea! The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to prepare meals for the kids. The location was perfect. we were just a short drive from the beach and local attractions. Plus, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring our check-in was smooth and hassle-free.

The King Studio was pretty spacious, but the air conditioning was super loud and kept us up. Didn't feel quite clean either, with a dingy vibe and some unfinished edges in the bathroom. No closet or hangers, which was odd for a long stay place. Overall, it served its purpose, but I wouldn’t want to stay again if I could help it.
